Extension Agent, 4H Youth Development

Malyka is the 4-H Agent for Brunswick County.  She joined Virginia Cooperative Extension in July 2021 after a career as a YMCA Program Director. Malyka grew up in Skipwith and was an active participant in the Mecklenburg County 4-H Program. Her 4-H Extension Agent, Leonard Elam, was a role model and major influence on her life. She is a hard-working individual who is consistently praised by colleagues and community members alike for her determination, teamwork skills, ethics, leadership, and desire to assist our youth in becoming the best possible adult members of society. 4-H has given her the opportunity to become a positive role model for youth and to help them develop the skills they need for positive change.
